What is THERMOSKIN®?
THERMOSKIN® is a Lanolin based liquid product proven to maintain body weight & condition of shorn animals.
THERMOSKIN®:

Contains all natural ingredients and is 100% Biodegradable.

Is sprayed onto shorn animals to give them a protective coating from inclement weather for up to 6 weeks.

Protects and seals minor shearing cuts and nicks, will promote faster healing and reduce contamination.

Assists with maintaining constant body temperature.

Dries within 2 minutes of application and sheep can be exposed to rain 10-15 minutes after application and it will not affect the efficacy of the product.

Is physiologically harmless and breaks down totally after 6 weeks making it environmentally friendly, so much so that it is actually edible.

Can easily be scoured.

Will not produce residues that are likely to adversely affect the environment through scouring plant effluent. |

How Does THERMOSKIN® Work And How Is It Applied?

THERMOSKIN® can be applied to all ages and breeds of sheep.
-
Sheep only require up to 50 mls per animal.
-
No need to put a coat on sheep after shearing.
-
Reduces the loss of condition and body weight of the sheep.
-
Most animals treated with THERMOSKIN® gain substantially more weight than untreated animals.
-
Is physiologically harmless.
-
Does not damage or affect the wool.
-
Is scourable using existing methods.
-
Does not block the pizzle, anus or vulva of the animal.
-
Can be used directly with solvent based treatments NOT WATER BASED.
-
Dries within 2 minutes of application.

If sheep are exposed to Water Based Treatments (Backline), they must be TOTALLY DRY before treating with THERMOSKIN®

Is sprayable through either the THERMOSKIN® Portable Automatic Spray System or by using a spray gun.
Applying THERMOSKIN®
-
Fill holding tank on machine with THERMOSKIN® Liquid through the filter and then reseal tank.
-
Open breather valve situated on top of tank.
-
Turn valve on base of tank to allow liquid to pump.
-
Turn on valve to allow return line to tank to prime system.
-
Take off all spray head cover caps (8) in total and ensure spray nozzles are clean. Wipe over with a methylated spirits treated cloth.
-
Connect the 240 Volt power to the socket on the unit.
-
Turn on machine with return valve open for a minute then turn return valve off.
-
All nozzles should start to spray a fine mist.
-
Machine remains off until ready to use. Turn machine on just prior to sheep entering.

To shut down the unit
-
Turn power off, and then disconnect 240V lead.
-
Close off the breather valve.
-
Turn off the valve on liquid line to pump.
-
Turn off valve on return to tank line.
-
Wipe spray nozzles with methylated spirit soaked rag and replace spray head cover caps.
-
High pressure clean if required.
-
MUST NOT RUN PUMP DRY – Ensure sufficient liquid in supply tank, otherwise pump will be damaged.

Keep spray nozzles clean by wiping with methylated spirits as product forms a skin in contact with air. |
